CADET VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED FOR GRAND HIGHLAND BALL 3 MARCH 2018 1600 - 1930HRS

Good afternoon everyone,

We are looking for 12 - 15 cadets for the Grand Highland Ball to act as greeters and work at the guest registration/ticket sales table.  See below for details:

What:   Grand Highland Military Ball (fundraiser for the corps' affiliated unit, the Calgary Highlanders)
When:  1600 - 1930hrs, Saturday 3 March 2018
Where:  Hyatt Regency, 700 Centre Street SE
Dress:  C1/H1
Additional Info:  Please meet on the 2nd floor of the Hyatt Regency, at the Registration Table.  Your contact officer is Maj Sun.  Dinner will be provided.

VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED FOR "BE BRAVE" GAME (CALGARY SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT CORPORATION VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY)

The following positions and times are available:

·         3 Leads – Start time 9:00 am
·         15 cashiers – Start time 9:30 am

Tuesday February 27th – 11:00 am puck drop.

This is a non-alcohol event and is primarily attended by students.  This is one of the events which our corps volunteers at to help bring in additional funds to cover for activities that are not funded/supported by the Department of National Defence.  Please think about volunteering!  Cadets who are 15 and older, these hours can go towards your Duke of Ed!

CANCELLED! PIPES AND DRUM CANCELLED THIS EVENING!!!

We know 2137 is a family but today, on Family Day, we prefer to give you some time to enjoy being with your own family! Pipes and Drums practice is cancelled for this evening. See you next week!

UPCOMING SOLO FTX *****24-25 FEBRUARY 2018



For the cadets that were selected to participate in the upcoming Solo FTX, please see the following pertinent information that is required prior to the FTX:

1) KIT CHECK ON THURSDAY 22 FEBRUARY: Make sure that you have all the required items (reference to the kit list as outlined below) and bring them with you this upcoming Thursday evening for the kit check. Once the items have been checked, items will be loaded so they will be ready to go for Saturday morning.

2) Departure for the site will be on Saturday morning (24 Feb 18). Please be at Mewata No Later Than 0715. If some parts of your kit were noted as missing on the initial kit check day (as listed above), you must bring it then along with your ablutions kit.

3) Arrival from the Solo FTX will be on 25 Feb 18 in the afternoon at 1530Hrs. We encourage parents to pick up their cadets at that time.

4) Please make sure you consult the web site frequently leading up to the activity for updates regarding weather or exceptional circumstances such as having to cancel the activity due to inclement weather changes. (Not expected...but we live in Canada!)
